Day 5 : Shenzhen_Macau_HK ~ 02.11.11 - 11.11.11

Fun time passes pretty fast and it is the 5th day of our holiday ... and we went to Lantau Island. Is pretty easy to get to Lantau Island. We board the MRT from Yau Ma Tei station and stop at Tung Chung station.

We woke up at about 8am, get ready and went to a nearby local cafe for a quick breakfast. We had Wan Tan Soup that morning :)

After fulfilling our hungy stomach, we walked to the nearest MRT station to board the train. Upon reaching Tung Chung station, we walked towards the cable car station. Was such a long, long queue ... so many tourists :)

Look at the queue .... *omg*

Luckily that I did some research before and decide to try the crystal cabin. Of course you need to pay more but the great thing is, you get to use the priority lane and it definately save lots of time :)

So, waste no time, we got onto the crystal cabin and enjoy the view all around. Take note, if you are afraid of height, you may need to think again whether to try out this ... :p

Once we reached the peak, we walked around and decided to join the local tour to Tai-O. Have been watching the HK series and quite often that they chose Tai-O as one of the filming location.

Tai- O is a fishing village and it is just like our local 'Pulau Ketam' here. The houses here are stilt houses and apparently more than half of the houses had been burnt down due to a big fire attack few years back. And, we took the opportunity to snap the photo of the remaining stilt houses before it is all been tear down in future.

After spending a few hours in Tai-O, we are then back to the main village of Ngong Ping village. Spent some time in the village by visiting the famous Giant Buddha.

And, we had a quick vegetarian lunch in the Po Lin Monastery. According to the tour guide, the famous HK singer, Anita Mui was also placed here.

After some food, we took the challenge and have a 20 mins walk to The Wisdom Path.

Spend almost more than half a day here, and we decided to go down the hill and head towards to Tsim Tsa Tsui to enjoy the symphony of lights. The light show will be held daily starting at 8pm. As I read from some articles that the best locations to view this beautiful light are somewhere along the the Tsim Tsa Tsui waterfront between Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre or even around the Victoria Harbour. This show is free for public enjoyment.

While waiting for the show to began, we walked around the Avenue of Stars. It was quite a windy nite :)

"Hand-in-Hand" with darling's idol ... :p

The symphony of light

After the show, we dropped by the Nanthan's road to "window-shop" and also to have our dinner before calling it a day :)
