Day Trip to Tanjung Sepat

We have been talking about making a trip to Tanjung Sepat for quite some time. And, finally, for this round, we made the decision in less than a minute  to check out this place on Saturday, 28 July 2012.

Our day trip started with tim sum breakie in Puchong, and once we have fulfilled our hungry tummy, we departed from Puchong at about 10 plus. Whole journey to Sungai Pelek took us about an hour plus, and we arrived at our first destination i.e the Longan farm. However, how disappointed are we when we thought that it is longan season now, and we could have longan feast in the farm, but to realise that, longan season will only be around September. What we can see are some longans which is still growing by the tree.

However, we rested for awhile there, chit-chatting and enjoyed some guava there before moving on to the next stop. Our next stop will be our seafood lunch, where it will be at a restaurant nearby to the famous landmark in Tanjung Sepat, i.e the Lover's Bridge.

We have no idea why this is called Lover's Bridge, but we were wondering as all along the bridge, there isn't any lovey dovey decorations that make us feel romantic .. :p. We walked all the way till the end of the bridge where a number of fishing boats are parked there.

Soon, after the walk along the bridge, our hungry tummy are growling for food, and we quickly walked back to where we came from and had our yummy-licious seafood lunch in Ocean Seafood Restaurant.

And we ordered almost 6 dishes i.e crabs, lala, mantis prawn, squid, fish and veg. All these costs us (for 6 pax) at RM 180.00. Isn't the price is amazing ?

After lunch, we moved on to the Mushroom & LingZhi farm. Here, you can observe the numerous types of mushroom being grow here. Spent sometime here as they do have a shop selling f&b which are processed from mushroom & LingZhi.

Next, we went to visit the coffee factory, where the coffee are processed the traditional way. The boss are pretty friendly in explaining the process of the coffee making.

Our next destination is to have collect the famous Tanjung Sepat pau aka Hai Yew Heng. Apparently, if you do not place order in advance, the possibility for you to buy the pau there is very minimal, especially it is during weekend or there is tour bus visiting. Hence, thanks to our dear friend, Polly, who organized and helped us to place order in advance, hence, we managed to enjoy the yummy pau :)

The shop is just a small corner shop, but the crowds are crazy, especially when there are pau fresh from oven is out.

Lucky us that we have placed order earlier, therefore, we can just walked directly to collect our orders, rather than queuing and 'war-ing' for pau like those people. After collecting the pau, we drove to the beach where the Golden Palm Tree Resort is located.

We walked all long the beach, and tried our luck if we could check-out this Golden Palm Tree Resort. Apparently, they do not allow outsiders who do not stay in the resort to even check out the hotel lobby. However, lucky us that we were not stopped by even the guard, and we were even able to have a private tour into the resort :) ... Hehehe ... we have our way 'lah' .... :p

We all have a great and enjoyable trip, and most importantly, the awesome company :)

You may refer to this map which we have used it as a reference for our day trip  .. xoxo
