My life is simply so smurfy ..... :-)

This is simply the best birthday month that I have ever had ! It is all started during our trip to Singapore .. On the final day before we left Singapore, we went shopping around at Marina Square, was very excited to see that they were selling white color malindi, as I couldn't find it over here in Malaysia. Waste no time, I just grabbed it ... and, my eyes even 'blink blink' more when I saw that they were selling smurfs' jibbitz .. what else, I happily grabbed it too ... :p

My life continues to be smurfy when we were in Changi airport waiting for departure. We managed to locate a toy shop where they were actually selling soft toys of smurf and also the figurines ! Not wasting the golden opportunity, I asked hubs to snap a photo of me with the smurfsss.... :-)

And, I couldn't resist not to get myself the figurines, and hubs being so nice that he said he will buy for me... yooohooooo .... *dancing at cloud 9* ...

Oh gosh, I couldn't believe this ... my sis and hubs planned it and they got me a smurfs cupcakes .. it was indeed a real surprise to me .... hahahaha ... and, till today, the 3D smurfs are still resting inside the fridge ... :p ... the cupcakes were so yummy ... all the thanks to White Daisy for making my day ...  :-)

It has not ended yet as I received a sms that I have won MWW The Smurfs in 3D contest ... was really really suspense over the weekend as I do not know what I had won !

Hubs went to help me to collect it the following week, and, I had actually won 2nd prize ... oh dear, it was really the best birthday month in my entire life ... having faith with my dearest smurfy ... haha.... And, these are what I won ~ 4 premier passes to The Smurfs 3D, 4 mugs and 4 pcs of pillow case !!

Finally, the day of premier is here ... I will be watching The Smurfs 3D together with hubs and siblings tomorrow night  :-)

Family trip to Singapore !!!

Well, well ... we are finally back from our 3 days 2 nites trip to Singapore. Booked the air tix somewhere a yr ago during AA RM 1 sales, and averaging it is only about RM 150 per pax for 2 ways :) ... It is good to be kia-su at times ya ... :p

We left KL on the 4th Aug, boarding the earliest flight (I guess) at 7.45am ... meaning that we reached Singapore at about 8.40am.

Day 1 ~ 4th August 2011

It was a wet wet day on the 1st day. However, the rain never stop us from enjoying ourselves. Guess where is our 1st stop ... where else, of cos hotel !! We need to check in and 'park' our luggage there so that we can travel around freely. Waste no time, we took MRT down to the city, and check-in to the hotel that we have booked earlier - a 3-star hotel there (Hotel Bencoolen). It is SGD 178 per nite! Overall comments about this hotel, it is fine, most important .. CLEAN !! Breakfast was so so, not much of varieties but i love the location the most ... so convenient that it is less than 5 mins walk from the Bras Basah station :)

After checking in the hotel, we went across to have a early lunch at Kopitiam. And once we have fed our cute little tummy, we took the MRT to Harbourfront and get on the Jewel Cable Car to cross over to Sentosa Island. Visited a few attractions there such as Underwater World and the Dolphin Lagoon. Went for a Log ride @ Cineblast, walk around the Merlion Walk and finally, we went for Songs of the Sea before we called it a day.

Day 2 ~ 5th August 2011

It is such a blessing that as soon as I wide open my eyes, the sun was shinning beautifully .. Thanks to God so much for answering to my prayers :)

Well, guess wat.. it is USS day ... and again, thanks to my kiasu-ness, I bought the USS tix in Matta Fair early this year, and it saved us some $$ cos not long after I bought it, the price increased ... *phew* ....

We were there at about 10am, and it is already so crowded. Waste no time, we joined the crowd in snapping some photos before entering.

The 1st stop is at Hollywood street. Managed to catch a few characters such as Marilyn Monroe, Mr Frankenstein and Ms Woody Woodpecker ...

Moving on, it is Madagascar. We went for a boat ride, snap some photos and the next stop is Far Far Away. This is where we went for Donkey Live show and Shrek in 4D. After the Shrek in 4D show, we had a chance for photo session with Shrek and Princess Fiona !

Next, it is the Lost World, Ancient Egypt and Sci-Fi. We went for some rides in the Lost World ~ Canopy Flyer and Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, where we went through a thrilling river raft ride where you will get wet and even soaked. But, as a preventive action, we wore raincoat !

As evening is catching up, and there are Hollywood after Hours where it will be at 9pm, therefore, we went for our dinner first at Big Easy, RWS. As, it is also my birthday, so my little bro 'prepared' a small little cake for me :)

And, it was a real great day spent with all my loved ones and it ended with lovely and beautiful fireworks.

Day 3 ~ 6th August 2011

This is our final day in Singapore, which also means it is shopping day. Initial plan to go to Marina Bay to walk walk, but we are all too tired as for the past 2 days have been a tough walking day, hence, we decided to look from afar :)

After some photo shots under the hot hot sun, we went to shop around in Marina Square. As we loft  around, I found that they are having their National day sales, where practically every outlets will be offering at least 15% discount. And, the damages done by me was .....

After having our lunch there, it is time for us to get back to the hotel to get our luggage and to get ready to the airport.

Something really remarkable for the day was that our initial flight at 7.10pm was cancelled due to technical problem and we need to wait till the following flight at 9.20pm.

Anyhow, we all had a great memorable trip to Singapore !

And, I am proud to say that I am the proud owner of a loving, fun, crazy and hilarious family... I love you all and thanks for giving me a truly memorable 30th birthday ! :)

Crabs, Crabs ... Here we are ...

Darling has been craving for crabs some time ago ... He has been repeatedly telling me - " I wanna eat crabs la" ... and finally we decided to have it for our dinner last night.

Just the 2 of us, we drove all the way to Telokgong, a place in Klang which is famous for reasonable price, fresh and yummy seafood. We went to Coconut Flower Rest, a seafood restaurant which we frequently visit for seafood here ...

What has we ordered ... since only 2 of us, and the main reason to be there is for Crabs... so, darling ordered 2kgs of crabs and 1 dish of vege - Fried Sambal Tapioca Leaves ...

And, it is accompany with some fried mantou, which i personally love it to dip it with the crabs gravy.. yummy-licious .. :)

We ordered 2kg of crabs, but darling had 1.5kg of it ... hahaha

All for the day, this meal cost us RM 96, where RM 66 for the 2kg of crabs :)... and most importantly, darling is very satisfied with the 1.5kg of crabs floating in his tummy... and he told me that, no more crabs for the rest of half year... hahahah ..

What make it great is that both of us has enjoyed the moments together with the crabs :)

Time really flies .... One year ago ~ 19th July 2010, it was my 1st day stepping into Maxis Procurement. It was my 1st day at work, back to KL hectic life ....

I reached Menara Maxis at 8.45am, and I couldn't get into the office.. WHY ? Cause I have yet to get my ID card, and the only contact no I have was my SM's mobile no... she was not reachable that time, hence I just stood by the lift waiting for someone to bring me in ... :)

One year past .... and for the 1st year survivor ... Me, myself ... Happy 1st Anniversary to ME ... :)

May things continue to run smoothly and all the best to myself .. of cos :p

*Woot Woot* .... Friday nite is here... and it was welcomed with 4 mini cupcakes bought from my dear sis. Apparently it is to replace the 'Smurf' cupcakes for my coming birthday ... *disappointed* ... no 'Smurf' cupcake :(

Well, she bought this cupcakes from Wondermilk .. it was my 1st time 'makaning' it ... *paiseh* ... All 4 mini cupcakes were walloped by both of us within half an hour i guess :p .....

Anyway... Thank you for the lovely treat my dear sis ... muack muack...

In memory of one of our dearest friend ......

This is not my first blog, but I have decided to discontinue the previous blogs and start a new one in remembrance of someone special.. :-)

She has left us for exactly for a week, and yet we are still missing her dearly ... She has been fighting with the killer for the past 2 1/2 years, she has never complained and yet remain staying happy and optimistic every time we visited her ...

When she was first diagnosed with this killer, it was a truely shocking news to us ..  we made a trip down to Singapore to visit her ... and being the usual her,  she keep reminding us that she will recover and prove that she can fight against this killer. 

After fighting for so many quarters, her condition became worsen last Nov, yet she never give up, and tried numerous new drugs and it managed to prolong her life till her last breath and left us peacefully on 07.07.2011 @ 11.10 am.... RIP my dear friend ...

She is a a true legacy and I am blessed to know one of the bravest women in the world, going through what she has and to still have the strength to smile... my dear friend, you are absolutely amazing.
