Friends and relatives have been telling me to consider consuming bird nest as it is good for the little one. Chinese say, bird nest is "yun" .. and consuming it during pregnancy will also help in improving the immunity of the baby and of course, the mommy will be able to recover faster after giving birth. Apparently, it will also help the baby to have better skin condition :)
A friend of mine who was pregnant last year, according to her, she consumed it on weekly basis, and apparently her baby has good complexion. Even, my mom told me that her friend's grandson has pretty good skin complexion, pinky pinky in color, and her friend told her that the mother of the boy consumed bird nest frequently during her pregnancy. So, based on the few true stories that you have heard, will you believe this ?
As for me, as long as it doesn't harm the little one, and whether it is beneficial as proven by few true stories, if it is affordable, then I found no harm in trying it :)
So, this week, nearing Week 19, it will be our
1st bowl of bird nest :) ... I boiled a piece of the bird nest together with
some rock sugar, and here is the boiled bird nest, ready to be eaten ... Hehe
... :)
